Hello 

I live in a c.1846 farmhouse in northern Vermont (USA). 

I am mom to six wonderful young adult children. We relocated from Central New Jersey by way of almost six years outside of Raleigh, NC while my husband was in school for his PhD.

Their Dad passed suddenly from a misdiagnosed illness while they were still quite young.

Not long before that, we’d lost my sister to a violent crime. 

I’m a Christian by faith. We exclusively home educated our six children. I continued to do so for the final decade per his wish and mine. Sole parenting and property management kept me pretty busy. 

We also had horses, and a variety of barnyard animals. As well as a few great dogs. 

I’ve had blogs in the past: home schooling, thoroughbred horse ownership, and updates for my husband. 

Since then, I’d learned about self-hosting one’s own website and it seems like a good idea.

I am involved in publishing a Children’s Picture Book with Orange Hat Press (WI). I’m the author and did most of the page layout. The book is currently with its talented illustrator.

I’ve also studied midwifery (to home birth assist) and used herbs and homeopathy successfully in the past for healing. I studied biology: health, fitness, nutrition; and english and literature in post-secondary education.

Our family that began in New Jersey grew while we lived in North Carolina and finished in Vermont. However, it is still growing. 

I hope there are one or two useful things here for any reader.
